I don’t know about you, but I’m not always as accepting as the Lord would like me to be. I’m not talking about acceptance of just any old thing that comes your way. But there are things that the Lord is doing in my life and in yours that, like it or not, He is doing them. HE IS. Should we not accept all that comes from and through His nail-scarred, loving hands? Job’s wife didn’t think so, but Job did.
Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!” But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all of this Job did not sin with his lips. Job 2:9-10 (NKJV)
