Our Board and staff are very much committed to encouraging people to read and study the Word of God. In fact, it is our Number #1 Core Value. The more we dig into the Word, the more we fall in love with Jesus. When we fall in love with Jesus, we have a greater desire to be the men and women that God wants us to be. When that happens, it impacts us personally, our marriages, our families, our churches, our community, and our world.

Ideally, we should be in the Word daily. But honestly, life is so out-of-control, that sometimes the easiest thing to skip is our time in the Word. So this year’s plan excites me. This year, we are reading Monday – Friday, which frees up the weekend. If you miss a day, you can catch up on the weekend.

We trust that you will join us this year in reading God’s Word. Our theme for 2020 is Destination Holiness – Set Apart for More.

Our theme verse is 2 Peter 1:5-8: “For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Set apart for more,

Bill Welte
