Time

A time for everything.

“There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven—” Ecclesiastes 3:1

In the third month of this year 2020, the United States declared a killer pandemic spreading globally.  It is a virus and we are still learning how to deal with it.

A new way of life had to be developed.  As I am writing this, it is the six month into this pandemic.

We have learned a little bit about the virus and still need to learn so much more.

My heart was crushed to see how N.Y. was changed so quickly.  I saw the hospital ships come into Central Park.  I also saw how The Javits Center was being changed into a hospital and so many other drastic changes.  A city that I grew up in and my entire family still lives.

I prayed a lot and cried a lot too.  It was not easy trying to understand all that was taking place.

I remembered this quote from The Lord of the Rings;

“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo   “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

I prayed, seeking the Lord for guidance each day knowing He is sovereign. I appreciate that time and breath is a gift from God.  I prayed, “Lord help me to make the best of my time here to glorify you and use it wisely. I have to keep my focus on you Lord, steadfast and with your strength.”

Psalm 103: 19 The Lord has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all.

Lamentations 3: 22-24 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is your faithfulness.

“The Lord is my portion, “ says my soul, Therefore I hope in Him.
