Earnestly Pray

“Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.” Daniel 10:12 NKJV

Daniel’s life reflected such a man of honor and valor. He was placed in the most corrupted kingdom as a young man in Babylon. He was taken captive and served the king with great loyalty, yet all the while, serving the One True God of Israel. Worshiping His Father only.

Daniel was given visions and dreams during his lifetime. God sent a messenger to speak one of the most profound end-time prophecies to Daniel and was told to keep all things hidden. As he saw these visions, he grew terrified and afraid, he fasted and prayed diligently for three weeks. Following in verse 13, A very powerful evil spirit blocked the messenger from reaching Daniel during this time.

I encourage you today, that whatever you have been praying for, God hears every single word spoken from your lips. Answers to our prayers may be hindered by the spirits of the evil realm and unseen obstacles. Don’t ever expect God’s answers to prayers to come easy. God wants us to fight on our knees, in prayer, meditating on His Word diligently.  As James wrote, “the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” Elijah is an example of a man who earnestly prayed. Our Lord and Savior Jesus was the ultimate example of one who prayed without ceasing day and night. The night before His death, He fervently prayed to the Father to take this cup of suffering from Him if It was His will (Luke 22: 39-46).

Though God does not answer that day, that month, that year, or the life we spend on this side of eternity, we know He does is all according to His will. Keep seeking, keep knocking, keep asking the Father in Heaven. If you’ve been praying for a child, keep praying. If you been asking God to heal your loved one, keep praying. If you been praying for a spouse, keep praying. If you been praying for a lost loved one, keep praying. God hears every single word spoken from your mouth. “The Lord himself will fight for you, just stay calm” (Exodus 14:14). Prayer may be challenged by evil forces, so pray fervently and pray earnestly. Then expect God to answer at the right time.
