Preview of 2020

Good morning, brothers (and some sisters). As we approach Thanksgiving Day, our Freedom Fighter team wants to thank you for reading our weekly blogs and partnering with us. There are some days that I question if anyone is even reading them, and then we will receive some feedback from you. That means so much to all of us. So from the bottom of our hearts, we say, THANK YOU.

2019 is quickly coming to an end, and we wanted to share with you some exciting information about next year.

Our theme for 2020 is DESTINATION HOLINESS – Set apart for more. Holiness is not a topic that we hear very often these days, so we are looking forward to unpacking that topic throughout the year, and especially during our summer conference season. (Preview Schedule for Summer 2020)

Our theme verse this year is a wee bit longer than our verses from the past several years – but it is powerful:

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:5-8

Think about it – what would your life look like if you started on January 1 by asking the Lord to add to your faith:

• GOODNESS
• KNOWLEDGE
• SELF-CONTROL
• PERSEVERANCE
• GODLINESS
• MUTUAL AFFECTION
• LOVE

My guess is that if we set that as our goal for next year, God not only going to do something extraordinary in YOUR life – but it could impact your family, your job/ministry, your church, our world. Wow.

A new year is a good time to begin new habits, and we have two brand new tools for this year. 2020 Bible Reading Plan (https://americaskeswick.org/resources/2020-daily-bible-reading-plan/) This year’s plan is a little different in that our readings will be Monday-Friday. This will give you the weekend “off” or use the weekend to catch up. You can download the plan by using the link, or you can email me for a hard copy (bwelte@americaskeswick.org).
