Willingly Sacrificed

In the spirit of Christmas…
During the holiday season, it’s so easy to forget what Christmas is really about. We get caught up in buying the perfect gift, getting the most extravagant wrapping paper and bows, and making sure they’re wrapped to perfection. It’s so easy to forget why there’s a Christmas season to begin with….
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
We say that Bible verse so whimsically sometimes, not actually thinking about what we’re saying: God sent His ONLY Son to this earth FOR US. How many parents could say that they’d give up their ONLY CHILD… WILLINGLY… knowing he’d be mocked and hated for most of his life, an outcast, to then be sent to die a criminal’s death to save the world.
Jesus was perfect. He knew no sin; yet, he was mocked and beaten as if He was one of the worst criminals of that time… The Romans were merciless towards Jesus. But He went willingly. Knowing that one day, those who accept God’s gift, His Son Jesus, into their hearts would be with Him in Heaven.
Hell is real; just as Heaven is real. Where do you want to end up? If you are unsure about where you’re going after you leave this earth, please call (800)453-7942 to speak to someone about accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior this Christmas season.

Think About This: “The brightest Christmas ever was lit by a single star and swaddled in the most drab colors, but offered mankind the greatest gift of all…true and lasting love.” – Toni Sorenson
