There is POWER in the WORD

Posted on December 27, 2022 by Elizabeth Welte in Victory Call

“Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.” (Psalm 107:19-20)

It can be difficult at times to stay focused when reading the Word.  But we need to remember the Word has a healing effect.  When you think about it, you can’t think simultaneous thoughts (although it can feel like it).  The more you bathe your brain, your mind, with truth the more it will push out error and the whispers of the enemy and your flesh.

God’s Word has POWER.  It has POWER TO HEAL.

Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. Gen 1:3
Then God said, …and it was so. Gen 1:6-7
Then God said, …and it was so. Gen 1:9
Then God said, …and it was so. Gen 1:11
Then God said, …and it was so. Gen 1:14
Then God said, …and it was so. Gen 1:24
Then God said, …and it was so. Gen 1:29-30

…from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:15-17 NKJV; NIV says All Scripture is God-breathed…

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)

“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” (John 17:17)

God’s Word has POWER.  It has POWER TO HEAL.  Run to it as the very best, most effective and powerful medication.  Take it in daily by heart.
