Reading is Fundamental

Posted on January 8, 2015 by Graeme Wilson in Victory Call

For a few years now I have been sharing on our Bible Reading Facebook page. I would like to invite you to download a copy of our Reading Plan for 2015 and join the group as we read through the Scriptures this year. The plan this year is to read some of the Old Testament and some of the New Testament each day. I encourage you to make a plan of some kind to keep yourself focused on and being fed from the Word of God in the upcoming year. I was given a small book called “Words of Wisdom” which is Psalms and Proverbs for each day. I am challenging myself to read that each month along with the reading plan. Next to my chair at home I have a basket which contains all my “stuff” for my reading time. Pen, highlighter, journal, Bible, reading plan and “Words of Wisdom”. I also have a few extra devotionals, standards like “Streams in the Desert” and “My Utmost for His Highest” and a new devotional for the year, “New Morning Mercies” by Paul David Tripp. I may not use everything everyday but as the Lord leads me to what I need to read everything will be right in my basket!

If you fail to plan you plan to fail! Make a plan to keep reading fundamental to your growth this year!

Blessings,
Kathy
