One-Way Ticket

Posted on July 13, 2015 by Graeme Wilson in Victory Call

At the moment of your regeneration, rebirth, salvation, conversion, you were justified and all your sins – past-present-future were forgiven. From that moment on, there is no sin you will commit that God will say, “Oh, My Son’s sacrifice, didn’t cover that one.” You were justified – forever and always.

At the moment of your rebirth you were also sanctified – set apart for God’s kingdom. God set His mark on you and claimed you for His kingdom and His purposes before the foundation of the world, “Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.“ 2 Corinthians 1:21-22; “who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began“ 2 Timothy 1:9; “just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world” Ephesians 1:4.

When the Holy Spirit of God gave your spirit life (regeneration) you got a one way ticket to an amazing relationship with God the very creator of the entire universe.

You didn’t save yourself. Jesus did. You can’t keep yourself saved, only Jesus can. You were given new life – the life of Jesus which cannot die. You can’t lose what Jesus is maintaining for you.

“And I give them eternal life and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of my Father’s hand.” John 10:28-29

Go ahead. Stand up. Do your happy dance. And Thank God for His amazing grace and the one way ticket He purchased and gave you so you will forever be in His family.

Blessings, Diane
