It’s All Worthwhile

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless. 1 Corinthians 15:58

I opened my devotional and was reminded that the fruit of our labors often grows and yields a harvest very slowly.
I am sure you have had times where you felt that you were being productive, but saw little or no fruit from your labors.  I think of young moms going from room to room cleaning up only to go back to the first room they cleaned and find it messed up again. Wives, we often prep meals and run back and forth doing multiple errands and can feel invisible. Girlfriend, you work hard and the boss doesn’t notice your efforts or the “own time” you put in week after week. Whatever you are doing others may not notice, but the Lord sees you!
It is great to be appreciated and noticed, but as we work unto the Lord we must be reminded that nothing we do is useless. He sees you. He knows the blood, sweat and tears you have given to raise your children, love your husband, or perform your job to the best of your capabilities. You will see fruits of your labor, sometimes few and far between.
Chris Tiegreen’s devotional in Heaven on Earth challenged me to be tenacious, persistent, and to carry on whether I see results or not. Whatever you and I do unto the Lord for His glory is worthwhile. Be patient….harvest time is coming!
Blessings,
Kathy
