As we begin this morning let us consider what the word “HOPE” means.  In the scripture the word HOPE is translated from the Greek noun “elpis” which means to anticipate with pleasure and/or expectation.  The word hope is also translated from the Greek verb “elpizo” which means to hope, to trust, whom we have set out hope.

So now let us go a little deeper with the word “HOPE”.  I invite you to read aloud each of the following verses and allow the Word of TRUTH to wash away any fragments of doubt and unbelief and fill you with the gift of HOPE.

Romans 5:1-2 (NKJV)   Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,  through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

2 Corinthians 1:9-10 (NKJV)   Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust (hope) in ourselves but in God who raises the dead,  who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust (hope) that He will still deliver us,

Psalm 39:7 (NKJV)   And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.

Romans 5:5 (NKJV)   Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Romans 12:12 (NKJV)  rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer……

Dear one, our world is in need of this hope…….I send you out with Matthew 5:14 (NKJV)
You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Let your light, let your hope, let JESUS shine through you wherever you go this day.

Blessings,
