Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:6-7)
Trial, difficulty, challenges and disappointments are a part of every person’s life. How do we, as believers, think about challenges when they happen to us?
As a long-time counselor, I know from others’ experience, and my own, that we can easily be tempted to FEEL like God doesn’t care about our plight. When we don’t get a quick answer to our plea or the trial goes on and on and on, and nothing seems to change, we may FEEL like God doesn’t care about our situation or maybe even about us personally. Ever feel that way?
Two biblical examples come to mind:
The first was the time when, after a day of ministry, Jesus and His disciples left the crowds behind and set out in a boat. He went to the back of the boat and fell asleep.
And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” (Mark 4:37-38 underlining mine).
The second illustration was the very familiar Mary and Martha time with Jesus in their home.
Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone?”… (Luke 10:38-40 underlining mine).
Why do we assume when we can’t SEE what God is doing that He is not doing anything? It may be a natural inclination, but because of Jesus we are not limited to the natural. How can we assume God doesn’t care? It is contrary to His very nature to not care. From Genesis to Revelation, the pages of Scripture display the glory and magnitude of His care, not just for His creation but also for you and me, personally.
When we are tempted to believe that God doesn’t care, let us remind ourselves of this unchanging truth. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:6-7 underlining mine).

Think About This: “Prayers are the nerves that move the muscles of omnipotence. Prayer is not an exercise in futility because God’s will, will be done in any case; prayer is the means by which God’s will is carried out. – John MacArthur

Ephesians 4:1-3

Stayed here while we were visiting my in-laws at The Pines Living Facility. Exactly what we needed for lodging -- inexpensive compared to most motels without any loss of accommodations, and very Christ-centered environment. Plus they serve a great... breakfast every morning. No TV in the room, but that was not an issue for us, since there is nothing worth watching anyway. Staff were extremely friendly and did their jobs well. This place is a gem and a blessing to all who walk on their beautiful property.read more

This place holds a special place in my life journey. I was Baptised there as I RE-DEDICATED myself. It was Febuary at night, so my review may not give it the right justice. What I can say, there were a ton of relaxing, peaceful locations to... re-connect with JESUS. Obviously, there was a pool, several lake's with benches. Gathering locations to celebrate, and break bread. A very wholesome Resort.read more
