Waiting Can Be Hard

Waiting can be hard, unless you know and are confident in what or whom you are waiting for.

What are you waiting for? Better yet, whom do you trust to wait for? Paul tells us there is One who has perfect timing and knows exactly what you need. He writes, “When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners” (Romans 5:6).

What we need, because we have all chosen our will over God’s way, is to be saved from the wrath of God that proceeds from His perfect justice, towards all sin. If our God demonstrated His love towards us, in that He did this while we hated Him, by sending Christ to give His life in our place; can you even imagine what He will do for those who choose Him over their own will and desires? Having justified those who believe by the shedding of His blood on the Cross, those who call on the name of the Lord will be saved from the wrath of God towards all sin. Now isn’t that someone you can trust with your life… someone you can wait on?

Isaiah tells us, “those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary” (Isaiah 40:31).

Whatever you are facing today, can you wait on the Lord, and trust Him to act in your best interest? If you do, you will know a gracious peace beyond measure, and a new strength that will sustain you through whatever life holds, day by day and at the right time.

Choose to wait on the Lord today and find rest in Him.

Choose wisely….
