Trust and Obey Again

“Obedience is an act of faith; disobedience is the result of unbelief.”  ~ E. L. Cole

The first thing Gideon did in obedience to God’s Word was to tear down the altar to the false gods his family had put their trust in. When the people responded in anger, wanting to kill Gideon, his father stood between them and said, ‘If baal is a god, let him contend for himself, because his alter has been torn down.’

Because Gideon was obedient to God’s Word and contended with all that opposed His Perfect Design, he stood apart from the crowd and as one the Spirit of the Lord rested upon.

God is not looking for who is capable by the world’s standards of popularity, size, and wealth. He desires humble obedience to His Word… and those who may struggle yet remain faithful to Him in the end.

You too can be used of God today and bring glory to His Name. Open His Word, humble yourself, seek His will, and be sensitive to His Spirits leading.

Choose wisely….

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones. Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.” (Proverbs 3:5-9)

Praying you choose Christ today
