Polarized. Weaponized. Politized. These are just a few of things we’re hearing out there in the world of mass media. These words are being used as an accusation to describe what many are calling a systematic attack on our government from “The Left!” In days gone by, there was a clear two-party system but that has kinda gone by the wayside these days, but none the matter, nowadays our enemy clearly comes from “The Left!” I hope those folks that are out there who are left-handed aren’t thinking that they’re the enemy, because if that’s the case my own son is in trouble, but I digress. AND I’m also not making a political stand here either, just pointing out the obvious? Anyway…
It’s obvious that, culturally and biblically speaking, being “The Left” symbolizes evil and deceit. And before I go any further, just because you say you’re of “The Right” doesn’t make you some kinda of angel, ‘cos it don’t, it just says you aren’t of “The Left.” After all, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked, who can know it?,” (Jer 17:9) so there’s that to keep in mind. However, in order to be from “The Left” you would’ve clearly made the decision to be evil minded and deceitful in the way you are with things (and probably wouldn’t be a Freedom Fighter subscriber, just sayin’). So, with all that stuff outta the way let’s see why it isn’t a good idea to be of “The Left!”
When you look at the Parable of The Sheep and The Goats (Matthew 25:31-46) you’ll see that Jesus is giving us a glimpse into what the judgement of the nations will look like. “All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats” (Matthew 25:32) Well, if you’re looking for something that says “being inclusive” I’m pretty sure this is where it’ll land, it’s not gonna matter much on your own personal identity, if Jesus Christ doesn’t identify you as one of His then what you see in Matthew 25:46a, “And these will go away into everlasting punishment” will happen. So, if there’s no Jesus in your actions then it’s to ‘The Left” with the rest of the goats.
“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” – Psalm 16:11
Unfortunately, Secularland has taken those things which are violent, deceitful, intolerant, uncivil, decadent, and perverse, prettied them up and are making them out as the everyday normal. Now when you look at those words there isn’t a decent thing among them and yet this is what it looks like to be from “The Left.” This isn’t a good path to be on, but God’s Word has given us a better picture when we choose to take the path of life, which, for the sake of this writing, just might be the right-handed way to go if you were to hit a fork in the road. If everything to “The Left” is meant to ruin you, then everything to “The Right” is meant to build you up. That simple.
When Aaron and his sons were ordained into the priesthood (see Leviticus 8:22-24) the blood of the sacrificial ram had been placed on the right earlobe, the right thumb, the big toe of the right foot, and then sprinkled on the altar. This was done in order that it was to be understood that it’s a solemn duty to hear and obey God’s Word, walk in His ways, and do what He has ordained you to do. With this in mind, when you read Galatians 2:9 you’ll see that that Paul and Barnabas were extended the right hand of fellowship by James, Peter (Cephas) and John before they went out to preach among the Gentiles, ordained by a priesthood that actually walked with Jesus, pretty cool, huh?
And don’t think that goats are unredeemable, they are. I was once a goat who was frightened into conversion, not because of some brimstone and hellfire preaching but my path went so far left that I was left…ruined. Stare at Secularland all you want but if you want “The Left” to lose its influence, then show what being on “The Right” looks like from the mind of Christ, that’s what changed me. Someone showed me Jesus when I was hungry, thirsty, imprisoned, and in need of some godly hospitality. If we were to actually go out into this mess and showed them Jesus, one person at a time, then “The Left” would lose one person at a time. Isn’t that what we were ordained to do? Amen?
