The Resurrection: What Difference Does It Make?

Posted on April 22, 2019 by America's Keswick in Freedom Fighters

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. 1 Corinthians 3:1-4

I trust you had a great Resurrection Day. My friend, Pastor John Strain, Chaplain The Pines at Whiting, recently shared 20 ways the resurrection makes a difference in our lives:

  1. It’s the difference between light and darkness.
  2. It’s the difference between hope and despair.
  3. It’s the difference between joy and sadness.
  4. It is the difference between gladness and grief.
  5. It’s the difference between power and weakness.
  6. It’s the difference between victory and defeat.
  7. It’s the difference between celebration and sorrow.
  8. It’s the difference between praise and lament.
  9. It’s the difference between courage and fear.
  10. It’s the difference between truth and lies
  11. It’s the difference freedom and bondage.
  12. It’s the difference between peace and anxiety.
  13. It’s the difference between laughing and weeping.
  14. It’s the difference between singing and deathly silence.
  15. It’s the difference between acceptance and rejection.
  16. It’s the difference between salvation and condemnation.
  17. It’s the difference between purpose and futility.
  18. It’s the difference between fellowship and isolation.
  19. It’s the difference between life and death.
  20. It’s the difference between heaven and hell.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58

The resurrection does make a difference. Celebrate these 20 truths today.

Relentlessly pursue Christ,

Think About This: Immanuel, God with us in our nature, in our sorrow, in our lifework, in our punishment, in our grave, and now with us, or rather we with Him, in resurrection, ascension, triumph, and Second Advent splendor. Charles Haddon Spurgeon

This Week’s Verse to Memorize: For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. – 2 Corinthians 5:14-15
