The Promise and the Process

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” (John 14:3)
While listening to a podcast a gentleman gave a story that most fathers could relate to. His four-year-old daughter made him promise to take her to Disneyland on her fifth birthday. And all year he was reminded of that promise by his daughter. Daddy I’m going to wear this dress at Disney, I’m going to meet that princess, I’m going to ride that ride and so forth. Everyone in her circle knew because her father has promised and delivered in the pass.
“So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.” (Luke 11:13)
Our Lord has shared, many times, in His Word all the wonderful promises for His child. He offers peace, rest, salvation, redemption, life, love, grace, and whole host of other spiritual blessings. As we walk confidently through the process we can trust hold on to his promise.
Does our life reflect that believe God on his promises, are we walking in confidence knowing that the good Lord will make your path straight, knowing that he a place for, recognizing the greater glory later.
