Thanksgiving and Gratitude

I want to give you a challenge on this 13^th day of November. Are you ready?

The Bible makes it clear that our lives need to be filled with thanksgiving and gratitude. Some of us look at life through the lens of a half-full glass, while others look at life through a half-empty glass. Some of us wake up saying, “Good Lord, it’s morning!” But some of us wake up saying, “Good morning, Lord.”

It’s kind of cool that researchers are finding that there is a connection between how gratitude and thanksgiving have an impact on our emotions, stress, and even our physical health.

The Bible is filled with verses about thanksgiving and gratitude. As men (and women) who claim to be His kids, our lives SHOULD be overflowing with praise and gratitude.

For the next 18 days, I want to challenge you to look up these verses and then to WRITE THEM OUT from your favorite Bible translation. After writing out the verse, write one thing for each day for which you are thankful. I want you to WRITE them out, not type them out. At the end of the 18 days, go back and read what you have written.
