His Wondrous Reflection

“O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will praise and give thanks to Your name; For You have done miraculous things, Plans formed long, long ago, [fulfilled] with perfect faithfulness.” (Isaiah 25:1)

Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 3:18, “and we all who have chosen to put our faith in Jesus our Lord, now have unveiled faces; meaning we no longer believe the delusion we can be good without God. Now, because all that blocked our understanding of ‘the truth that is the Light or explanation of the Way into our Heavenly Fathers presence’ is removed, we are continually seeing, as in a mirror, the glory of the Lord. This mirror is Jesus, who is the True Glory of God. He is ‘Effulgence of God’s glory’, the true Shechinah” (Heb 1:2), “The image of the Invisible God” (Col 1:15), and “The manifestation of all God is in a form we can relate to.” Jesus, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard this as something to be exploited or even something we could understand. So He emptied Himself of all His divine right, and took on the form of a bond servant, and came to us being made in the likeness of men, He humbled Himself, showing us the ‘way’ by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross (Phil 2:6-8). And because of what we are now exposed to through God’s Word which reveals through Jesus’ life, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension, or His-story, all there is to understand about God; because of this exposure, we who believe are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory. That is as we put off our will and self centered desires, crucifying them as Christ was obedient to God’s Word, even to the point of submitting to a death on a cross, Jesus through the presence of His Spirit that brings life, fills us up with everything we need for god-like living, transforming us as to reflect His glorious nature in our own lives.

If you can grasp the wonderfully miraculous thing God has done through Jesus for you; realizing He planned it long ago while having you in mind, you too will sing praises to His precious Name! I encourage you to gaze into His Story (the Bible) as if it’s a mirror that reveals to us His wondrous Glory, and go away from it today reflecting its light into the lives of those you meet.

Choose wisely…

Praying you choose Christ as Lord today

Daily Quote: “When Christ returned to heaven, He withdrew His physical presence from our sight. He didn’t stop being with the disciples but by the ascension fulfilled His promise to be with us to the end of the world. As His body was raised to heaven, so His power and reign have spread to the uttermost parts.” – John Calvin

This Week’s Verse to Memorize:“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord.” Jeremiah 17:7
