Help is on the way!

Having been led out of Egypt and a lifetime of hardship and slavery to a brutal master, Israel now stands before an overwhelming obstacle… the sea. With the army pressing in behind them and the depths of the sea before them, there was no apparent hope in sight… until God’s Word was spoken, “And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent” (Exodus 14:13-14).

What a powerful promise we so often lose sight of when all we see are the obstacles. God is fighting for us; we need only be faithful and wait on Him. In the case of the Israelites, God stood between them and the Egyptian army and opened up a way through the sea…. as if they were walking through on dry land! Wow! Everything was taken care of, even the mud.

Where do you stand today… and what must you trust our God for? Remember He is fighting for you; you need only be silent and wait on Him! If you don’t have that kind of faith, then ask Him for it. He will do that too. For “our God will supply every need of ours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus… for He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?” (Phil 4:19; Rom 8:32)

So today, “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of anything, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” (Deut 31:6) There is Hope and His name is Jesus.

Choose wisely…

“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Think About This: “Why would we want fame, when God promises us glory? Why would we be seeking the wealth of the world when the wealth of heaven is ours? Why would we run for a crown that will perish with time, when we’re called to win a crown that is imperishable?” ― Paul Washer
