Happy Father’s Day

See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.  Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure. 1 John 3:1-3

I was very blessed to have an amazing father who went to heaven in 1986. I sure do miss him. God blessed me with three adopted Dads: Pastor Bill Raws, Pastor Van and Neil Fichthorn. All four men have helped to shape my life. Pastor Bill and Pastor Van are in heaven, but Neil continues to impact my life.

There is something special about the love of a father — especially the love of our HEAVENLY FATHER.  It is a love that goes deeper, higher, wider, than any love we can imagine.

On this Father’s Day, I trust if your earthly Dad is alive, that you will take the time to call him or better yet, visit him. Thank him for his love and for being your Dad.

For all of us — today is a good day whether we had a great Dad or one who has failed us — to thank our HEAVENLY Father who loves us unconditionally and with a perfect love. Thank Him for being your Dad and let Him know you love Him.

I am thankful today for my sons: Josh, Garrett, Jon and Zach. Josh, Garrett and Jon are amazing Dads and I am so proud of them. They have also become great role models for Zach, who I know will one day be a great Dad too. Love you guys!!!
