God’s Faithfulness – The List of 39 Part 2

Posted on November 1, 2021 by Catey Stover in Freedom Fighters

We have been walking through some pretty dark days as a ministry with so many of our partners, some staff, and lots of friends who have been impacted by covid and other tough situations.

I am thankful for the faithfulness of God. Every day He has shown us ways that He is faithful. During one of Robert Hayes’ bad days, his nurse for the day happened to be a graduate of the Colony of Mercy. Really? How amazing is that? This young man provided such excellent care to a man he loved and respected – a real live demonstration of God’s faithfulness on a lousy day for Joyce and the family.

Here is the rest of the 39 from the Old Testament:

in Ecclesiastes 2:24–26, to give us satisfaction, enjoyment, and wisdom.

in Song of Songs 2:4, to unfurl His banner of love over us.

in Isaiah 40:31, to renew our strength. in Jeremiah 23:23, to be a God who is nearby and not far away.

in Lamentations 3:23, to bestow new blessings upon us every morning. in Ezekiel 36:25, to cleanse us from all our impurities.

in Daniel 4:17, to rule over the course of history (see the NLT).

in Hosea 6:1, to bind up our wounds.

in Joel 2:14, to leave behind a blessing for us.

in Amos 9:15, to restore the nation of Israel to Him in His timing.

in Obadiah v. 21, to prevail in bringing forth His kingdom.

in Jonah 2:7, to hear our prayers as they ascend to His holy temple.

in Micah 4:2, to teach us His ways, that we may walk in His paths.

in Nahum 1:7, to be our refuge in times of trouble.

in Habakkuk 2:14, to one day fill the earth with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.

in Zephaniah 3:17, to rejoice over us with singing.

in Haggai 2:19, to bless us from this day on.

in Zechariah 2:5, to be a wall of fire around us and the glory in our midst.

in Malachi 3:10, to honor our support of His work by opening the windows of heaven and pouring out blessings we don’t have enough room to receive.

A good old Jersey preacher wrote these words:

Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning
new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided.
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.

Amen?
