God Will Not Fail You

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have: for He hath said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you. So that we may boldly say, “The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do to me. Hebrews 13:5-6 KJV
As we approach Thanksgiving Day 2019, one of the things that I am so thankful for is that I have a God who never fails. When I say never, I mean never.
We talk about all the things that God can do but there are a number of things that God can’t do. It isn’t because He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and is everywhere. It is simply that His nature does not allow Him to do certain things.
One of those things is that He cannot fail you!
You remember these verses:
Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31:6 KJV
And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8 KJV
And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord. 1 Chronicles 28:20
Devotional writer, Roy Lessin, wrote this: The depth of His love for you cannot be measured, and its height cannot be scaled. He wants you to trust Him completely because HE WILL NOT FAIL YOU. He cannot.
When you go through trials, He will keep you from defeat; when you face temptations He will keep from shame. When the enemy comes in like a flood, He will raise up a standard against Him.
No weapon that is formed against you will prosper, for the battle is the Lord’s. You will never face an enemy that you have to fear or run from, for “greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.” Your life belongs to Him and your times are in your hands.
He is Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides for you;
He is Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals you;
He is Jehovah-Nissi, the God who is your banner;
He is Jehovah-MKaddesh, the God who sanctifies you;
He is Jehovah-Shalom, the God who is your peace;
He is Jehovah-Tsidkenu, the God who is your righteousness;
He is Jehovah-Rohi, the God who is your shepherd;
He is Jehovah-Shammah, the God who is present with you.
We fail. People fail us. But praise God that He NEVER fails. You can take it to the bank. It’s for sure, for certain.
Relentlessly pursuing Christ,

Think About This: Trials should not surprise us or cause us to doubt God’s faithfulness. Rather, we should actually be glad for them. God sends trials to strengthen our trust in him so that our faith will not fail. Our trials keep us trusting; they burn away our self-confidence and drive us to our Savior. Edmund Clowney
This Week’s Verse to Memorize: As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness. – Psalm 17:15
