God Is Faithful To You

It is one thing to say that God is faithful. It is even more important to know and believe that God is faithful to YOU and me.

Think about these passages of Scripture:

Know, recognize, and understand therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love and mercy with those who love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations. (Deuteronomy 7:9 Amplified Bible)

So the Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help. (Isaiah 30:18)

Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion. Therefore I will wait for him.” (Lamentations 3:21-24)

God is faithful (reliable trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promises and He can be depended on); by Him, you were called into companionship and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord (1 Corinthians 1:9 Amplified Bible).

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it (1 Corinthians 10:13).

God is trustworthy and faithful and means what He says. (2 Corinthians 10:13)

O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies! Where is there anyone as mighty as You, O Lord? You are entirely faithful. (Psalm 89:8 New Living Translation)

Songwriter, Carol Cymbala from the Brooklyn Tabernacle, penned these words:

He’s been faithful, faithful to me,
Looking back His love and mercy I see.
Though In my heart I have questioned
And failed to believe
He’s been faithful, faithful to me.

Arthur Pink wrote: God is true. His Word of promise is sure. In all His relations with His people, God is faithful. He may be safely relied upon. No one ever yet really trusted Him in vain. We find this precious truth expressed almost everywhere in the Scriptures, for His people need to know that faithfulness is an essential part of the Divine Character. This is the basis of our confidence in Him.

I am thankful today that God is faithful to you and me. Amen?
