2023 is Right Around the Corner

This is the last blog I am posting in 2022. The next one will be in 2023. I appreciate so much that you are tracking with us every day. I appreciate the men writing each day to encourage you to walk in victory.

2023 is a momentous year for the ministry of America’s Keswick. This year is the 100^th anniversary of our conference ministry, which is amazing.

Our new theme is Anchored – Faithful Through the Ages.

Our theme verse is from Hebrews 6:19: This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil.

I want to encourage you to do several things:

1. Read the Bible with us this year. For a number of years, we have been encouraging our family and friends to read through the Bible with us. This year we will be reading through the Bible chronologically. I have included the link for the plan on our website, or you can call 800-453-7942 for a hard copy.
2. Choose a word for the year. For the past ten years, I have been inviting people to join me in choosing a WORD for the year. It has been a cool thing to do, and I have found that the WORD I chose will show up in my devotional reading and my Bible reading.I wasn’t sure what WORD I would choose, and one night in the middle of the night, the Lord woke me up, and the WORD he gave me is
   PERSEVERANCE!!!

   Webster defines the word as this: continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition3: the action or condition or an instance of persevering.

   The biblical word is defined as energetic resistance, steadfastness under pressure, and endurance in the face of trials.

 

I find it intriguing that this word ties in with our Anchored theme and God’s faithfulness. In the midst of the challenges of life, we can trust God to see us through the trials of life because HE IS FAITHFUL.

3. What devotionals are you going to read in 2023? Devotionals should NEVER take the place of your Bible reading. There are so many amazing resources available right now. Here are a few I will be reading:
