Family Week #2 July 13-18, 2025

Our theme is “Deeply Rooted: Abiding in Christ” focusing on John 15:5 (ESV), “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”

Speakers: Dr. Bryan Murawski & Pastor Ken Carlson

Bryan Murawski (PhD, Westminster Theological Seminary) is an Associate Professor at Cairn University. He preaches at Riverstone Church in Yardley, PA. He previously served as a pastor for 15 years in NJ and MI. He frequently speaks at camps and retreats. He is the author of several books, including Preaching Difficult Texts of the Old Testament and 1 Peter: A Commentary for Biblical Preaching & Teaching (with Tim Miller). Bryan is a father of four with his wife Janice, also a Cairn alumnus (’08).

Ken’s is the Lead Pastor at Bayside Chapel in Barnegat, NJ. His journey there is a story of faith and growth.

Ken’s path at Bayside Chapel began in 2011 while pursuing his Master’s from Capital Seminary & Graduate School. Starting as an Assistant Pastor in 2014, Ken’s role expanded over the years. He became Teaching Pastor in 2021 and stepped into the role of Lead Pastor in 2024. Ken has remained dedicated to presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ effectively through Bible-centered messages.

Ken leads Bayside Chapel with a vision for Gospel-centered ministry, committed to expositional preaching that places Jesus and His life-changing message at the forefront while addressing real-life challenges. Passionate about the transforming power of God’s Word, Ken aims to offer sermons that both inform the mind and transform the heart. His goal is to help people encounter Jesus and experience the hope and victory found in a relationship with Him.

Born in 1987 and raised in NY and PA, Ken moved to NJ in 2004 where he met his wife, Laura. Outside the pulpit, Ken enjoys playing music, drone photography and videography, fishing, and family time. Laura serves the community as an Emergency Room and Forensic Nurse. They are now proud parents to two daughters, Olivia and Elizabeth.

Music & Worship by: Niah & Allisha Merrill

Crossing the genres of traditional, classical, and modern hymns, the Merrills’ music focuses hearts to bring praise to the Creator of music. Niah and Allisha partner with many talented writers, orchestrators and musicians around the country to produce quality music that is both God-honoring and relevant. They sing and play an assortment of instruments (including the piano, trumpets, flugelhorn, hand drums, and Irish penny whistles) in a variety of inspirational musical styles.

What to expect this summer at America’s Keswick:

• Morning and evening sessions with our speakers
• We will be having Children’s and Teen’s Ministry
• Activities for all ages! Such as guided nature walks, scavenger hunts, a large inflatable slide in the lake, devotions, and more!
• Delicious meals prepared on campus served in our dining room

Children’s & Teen’s Ministry:

It’s not Sunday School… It’s not VBS… It’s Children’s Ministry – America’s Keswick style! One of our passions is to teach children from a young age who Jesus is, why it is important to follow Him, and how to apply biblical principles to their lives. We take the time to hand-pick fun and responsible leaders who are passionate about teaching YOUR kids. We get to know your children personally so we can teach them at a level that they can understand, and we also have a whole lot of fun along the way.

On top of our biblical lessons, we have high-energy games, creative crafts, delicious snacks, funny skits, and everything in between – all designed to follow and reinforce the lesson for the day. We also spend time preparing for our end-of-week presentation, where you can hear your kids share a passage of Scripture that they’ve memorized and a song that they’ve learned while in Children’s Ministry… but be sure to get there early, because before the meeting we also have a special bell-ringing ceremony where we celebrate the children who have come to Christ that week.

Our Children’s Ministry curriculum welcomes infants through age 11, and ages 12-17 can enjoy our Teen Ministry program. We’re going to have a lot of fun this summer, and we hope you can join us.

Meals:

Each meal starts with a staff member’s blessing in the food. When you enter the doors to the dining hall, located in the Raws Building, you will be greeted by the buffet line. Guests are able to grab a plate and choose from the variety of options that are available during the course. Most times there are 1-2 main entrée options with 2-3 sides dishes. During breakfast, there is a cold bar that is fully stocked with assorted cereals, milk, yogurt, and freshly cut fruit. During lunches and dinners, we have a freshly prepared salad bar where guests can create their salad exactly to their choosing. Once guests find their seat at a table,  our friendly servers will bring you beverages and help clear away your plates. You will also see our dining room hostess who is available to you at any time should you need any assistance. If you have a dietary restrictions or allergies, please inform your server and they would be happy to help.
