I recently went back to reading through Psalms and Proverbs through a Billy Graham publication, Words of Wisdom. It’s a little leather devotional, and I am a sucker for leather devotionals.
I was reading through Psalm 37 and was amazed to discover 15 principles of Godly living right in the text.
- Don’t worry about the wicked. 37:1
 - Don’t envy those who do wrong. 37:1
 - Trust in the Lord. 37:3
 - Do good. 37:3
 - Take delight in the Lord. 37:4
 - Commit EVERYTHING you do to the Lord. 37:5
 - Trust Him. 37:5
 - Be still and wait. 37:7
 - Don’t worry about evil people or fret about their wicked schemes. 37:7
 - Stop being angry! 37:8
 - Don’t lose your temper. 37:8
 - Turn from evil and do good. 37:27
 - Put your hope in the Lord. 37:34
 - Travel steadily along His path.
 - Look at those who are honest and good. 37:37

Now I want to encourage you to open your Bible and read the Psalm and highlight these. Can I get you to do one more thing? For the next 30 days, will you read through Psalm 37 and asking the Holy Spirit to unpack these truths in your life. I think you will be amazed at what He will do. Will you join me? If so, drop me an email at bwelte@americaskeswick.org.
Have a great day.

Think About This: “The best opportunities can seem like interruptions—a knock @ our door, a phone call, or a text msg or e-mail. The pause can come from a stranger, a neighbor, or a relative. In each case God has already been softening their hearts & He’s selected us to be His ambassador of truth.” – Carol Kent
