Rejoice

I am so tired of rain. I have been waking every morning in hopes that the sun would be shining and the temperature would be warmer, as if that would make a difference in my mood.  Sure, I would be happier if the weather conditions changed, but that is not what determines my ability to rejoice. If we are dependent on making our own way, our own happiness, or our own circumstances… we will not find true joy or contentment. If we have moods or feelings based only on the external, we will never fully know how to rejoice.
The upcoming forecast is starting to clear up, but before we count on better days to come, you and I need to be able to rejoice in today.  We need to remember that God is with us, this is the day HE has made regardless of what we see. There is much to rejoice over if our eyes move from the situation we see and concentrate on the One who is unseen. In Him we find that the Son is always shining, we are loved with an everlasting love and nothing can separate us from His love.
Rejoice in Him and find real joy today!
