I KNOW A SECRET!!

I remember as a kid when someone would almost sing those 4 words, you knew it wasn’t a secret, it was going to be gossip, lies, or some other little tidbit to either make the person look bad or to boost the ego of the person telling it. When secrets are told, it is meant for the 2 or more people involved, not to be posted on Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media platform you can run to. Lives and careers have been ruined by these false statements made without finding out all the facts. In God’s world, secrets are meant to be kept just that, private. There are many things that I have heard that I would never tell anyone, not even my wife. And there are things that Shirley knows that she will never tell me. And with good reason, THEY ARE PRIVATE!

But what about us? What secret do we keep in the darkest part of our heart and mind? Living in darkness is one of the most horrible places you want to be, I know, I walked in the darkness so long, the lies became truth in my mind!  Psalm 44:21 “wouldn’t God have found this out, Since He knows the secrets of the Heart?” God knows our every thought before it even comes into our mind. He has given us all a way to escape the dark and come into the light. How is it possible to have a relationship with the Lord God almighty when we will not confess to Him what dark thoughts we have? Romans 2:16 “on the day when God judges what people have kept secret” Secrets have taken down world leaders, politicians, celebrities, sports figures, marriages, even high-profile church leaders. Every day it seems a new story hits about someone’s past that has come back to haunt them. I have a past, not good by any slandered, but I have no problem with telling my testimony if it will help lead another follower of Christ out of the darkness into the light. 1 Corinthians 14:25 “the secrets of the heart will be revealed, and as a result, he will fall facedown and worship God….” Are you ready to step into the Light?
