Maintenance Manager – FT

Purpose: The purpose of America’s Keswick is to model and teach biblical victorious living in Christ Jesus, to provide an environment in which biblical life transformation takes place and to foster active personal involvement in the local church.

Position Purpose: The purpose of the maintenance staff is to maintain the grounds and facilities of America’s Keswick while working alongside the men from the Colony of Mercy.

 

ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS: The one holding this position must be a mature Christian, able to lead and demonstrate Christ-likeness effectively. This person must conduct themself at all times in such a manner as to uphold a solid testimony in harmony with traditional, conservative, evangelical values.  They must completely adhere to the doctrinal position of America’s Keswick and seek to live the principles of God’s Word.  It is understood that failure to maintain a high standard of personal testimony will be grounds for dismissal.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintenance Staff Supervision and Direction – Provide day-to-day supervision, scheduling, and task assignments for all maintenance personnel.
  • Team Management – Encourage teamwork, collaboration, and clear communication among team members. Support a positive and respectful work culture rooted in service and excellence.
  • Daily Work Devotionals & Prayer – Lead brief daily devotionals and prayer with staff to set a Christ-centered tone for the workday. Model and encourage spiritual growth through words, actions, and leadership presence.
  • Work Safety- Promote a culture of safety and compliance with OSHA and internal safety policies. Ensure all tools, equipment, and maintenance areas meet safety standards.
  • Reporting – Maintain detailed maintenance logs, work orders, and project reports. Communicate regularly regarding facility conditions, needs, and priorities.
  • Building Maintenance – Oversee preventive and routine maintenance of buildings, systems, and equipment. Schedule and coordinate vendor support for specialized repairs or inspections.
  • Building and Property Repair – Respond promptly to repair needs across all facilities and property areas. Diagnose problems, recommend solutions, and perform or coordinate necessary repairs.
  • Supervision and Encouragement of Men from the Addiction Recovery Program – Provide hands-on supervision and mentorship to Colony Men assigned to maintenance work. Serve as a positive role model, fostering growth and dignity through daily interactions.
  • Support and Uphold the Addiction Recovery Program – Collaborate with leadership to align maintenance work with recovery objectives. Create a safe and supportive environment that reflects grace and structure.
  • Respond to Building/Staff/Guest Facility Needs – Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related concerns from staff and guests.Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize disruption.
  • Grounds Maintenance – Oversee care of outdoor property including lawns, walkways, parking lots, and landscaping. Coordinate seasonal upkeep such as snow removal, leaf cleanup, and irrigation. Maintain equipment and supplies needed for grounds maintenance.
  • Addressing Seasonal Facility Needs – Plan and execute seasonal maintenance projects such as HVAC changeovers and weatherproofing. Anticipate seasonal issues and proactively prepare facilities accordingly.
  • Project Management – Lead short- and long-term facility projects from planning through completion. Develop timelines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress to ensure on-time, on-budget results. Coordinate contractors, volunteers, and internal staff as needed.
  • On Call availability based on need – Remain available for after-hours or weekend emergencies as required. Provide guidance and support during facility-related incidents or urgent maintenance needs.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as may be requested by the supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • A mature believer in Jesus Christ in agreement with America’s Keswick doctrinal statement.
  • Building, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or landscaping experience is a plus.

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to the Director of Maintenance.

 

HOURS: This full-time position (7am-4pm Monday through Friday) requires 40 hours per week (on occasion, hours may surpass 40, and shifts may surpass 8 hours).Work weeks include some on-call evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to see and hear within normal range
  • Finger and hand dexterity to manipulate objects
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and climb ladders.
