Guest Speaker: Mary Jackson

Mary Jackson is a counselor, a writer and a minister of the gospel. She began her career 49 years ago as a counselor for disenfranchised women. It is there that she realized addiction was an issue with many of the women that she counseled. This caused her to pursue her certification as an Addictions Counselor. She was certified by the state of New Jersey and worked as an Addictions Counselor for many years. Mary continued her education by attending Cairns University where she received her certification in Biblical Counseling. She was ordained as a teaching Elder at The Perfecting Church in Sewell NJ where Pastor Kevin Brown is the Senior Pastor. She is both mentor and teacher of women’s small groups. Mary and her husband assist in leading the Marriage Team at their church, She enjoys speaking, facilitating workshops and simply sitting with women; especially women who are struggling with issues of low self- esteem, divorce, single parenting, and finding their life’s purpose. She is a member on the board of directors for a Non-Profit that services women and children in Camden, Gloucester and Cumberland Counties.

Mary has been married to her husband, Otis, for 44 years and is the proud mother of two children and four grandchildren.

She believes her greatest breakthroughs with women are made sitting on the couch and being invited into their pain.
