Dining Room Manager (FT)

Purpose: The purpose of America’s Keswick is to model and teach biblical victorious living in Christ Jesus, to provide an environment in which biblical life transformation takes place and to foster active personal involvement in the local church.

Position Purpose:  The Dining Room Manager is responsible for overseeing dining room operations for meals and guest group events, including setup, service, cleanup, guest hospitality, and supervision of dining room hosts and bussers. This position supports the ministry of America’s Keswick by creating a welcoming, orderly, and service-focused dining experience for guests.

 

ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS: The one holding this position must be a mature Christian, able to lead and demonstrate Christ-likeness effectively. This person must conduct themself at all times in such a manner as to uphold a solid testimony in harmony with traditional, conservative, evangelical values.  They must completely adhere to the doctrinal position of America’s Keswick and seek to live the principles of God’s Word.  It is understood that failure to maintain a high standard of personal testimony will be grounds for dismissal.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule dining room hosts and bussers to ensure proper coverage for meals and guest group needs.
  • Oversee, train, encourage, and provide direction to bussers during meal service, setup, and cleanup.
  • Oversee daily dining room operations, including room preparation, table setup, guest flow, meal service support, and cleanup after meals.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests, staff, volunteers, and guest groups in a courteous and ministry-minded manner.
  • Present the ministry of America’s Keswick to guest groups with professionalism, warmth, and a clear servant-hearted approach.
  • Communicate dining room needs, staffing concerns, guest feedback, and operational issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and readiness of the dining room before, during, and after scheduled meals and events.
  • Coordinate with food service, facilities, housekeeping, and program staff to support excellent guest experiences.
  • Assist with special events, retreats, conferences, and ministry meals as assigned.
  • Ensure dining room procedures are followed consistently and safely, including traffic flow, sanitation support, and guest service expectations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A mature believer in Jesus Christ in agreement with America’s Keswick doctrinal statement.
  • Experience in hospitality, dining room service, food service operations, event support, or guest service is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, scheduling, organization, and customer service skills are required. Other miscellaneous duties may be requested by the supervisor.

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to the Director of Food Service or assigned supervisor.

 

HOURS: This is a full-time position requiring availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as scheduled. Hours may vary based on meal schedules, guest group needs, ministry events, and operational demands.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: 

  • Ability to see and hear within normal range
  • Finger and hand dexterity to manipulate objects
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs., and assist with dining room setup and cleanup as needed.

COMPENSATION: $15.92/hour
