POSITION DESCRIPTION: Barbara’s Place Work Supervisor, Part-Time

  1. INTRODUCTION

Mission: America’s Keswick is a multi-generational, cross-cultural ministry where biblical teaching and worship lead to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, resulting in a transformed life. We serve people with excellence through addiction recovery, conferences, events, retreats and outreach.

Purpose: The purpose of America’s Keswick is to model and teach biblical victorious living in Christ Jesus, to provide an environment in which biblical life transformation takes place and to foster active personal involvement in the local church.

Position Purpose: The Barbara’s Place Work Supervisor works alongside women participating in the work therapy portion of the program, providing supervision, encouragement, structure, and practical support as residents complete assigned work projects. Work projects may include cleaning, housekeeping, light gardening, and other assigned tasks.

 

ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS

The individual holding this position must be a mature Christian who is able to lead effectively and demonstrate Christ-likeness. This person must conduct themselves at all times in a manner that upholds a solid testimony in harmony with traditional, conservative, evangelical values. They must fully adhere to the doctrinal position of America’s Keswick and seek to live according to the principles of God’s Word. Failure to maintain a high standard of personal testimony may be grounds for dismissal.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and direct residents as they complete assigned work projects.
  • Organize and prepare work projects in coordination with appropriate departments.
  • Provide godly encouragement and support during work time.
  • Begin and end work time with prayer.
  • Assist with department scheduling as needed.
  • Maintain clear communication with chaplains, supervisors, and work departments.
  • Develop work assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A mature believer in Jesus Christ who is in agreement with America’s Keswick’s doctrinal statement.
  • Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, cooking, and light gardening is a plus.
  • Ability to complete other miscellaneous duties as requested by the supervisor.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

  • Reports to the Director of Operations.

HOURS

  • This is a part-time position scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Additional hours may occasionally be requested.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to see and hear within normal range.
  • Finger and hand dexterity to manipulate objects.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

COMPENSATION

$15.92/hour
