ABOUT AMERICA’S KESWICK: America’s Keswick is a ministry where biblical teaching is used to cultivate a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through Addiction Recovery, Conferences, Retreats, Events, and Outreach.

The purpose of America’s Keswick is to model and teach biblical victorious living in Christ Jesus, to provide an environment in which biblical life transformation takes place, and to foster active personal involvement in the local church.

 

America’s Keswick is seeking to fill one full-time position for a Chaplain at the Colony of Mercy, our men’s addiction recovery facility.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The man applying for this position must be a mature Christian, able to effectively lead and demonstrate Christlikeness. It is imperative this man conduct himself at all times in such a manner as to uphold a solid Christian testimony in harmony with traditional, conservative, evangelical Values. He must completely adhere to the doctrinal position of America’s Keswick and see to live the principles of God’s Word.
  • Basic responsibilities will include oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Colony, counseling 6-10 residents per week, leading morning devotions, assigned preaching at the Colony Chapel, as well as leading Text and Testimony services. In addition to the previous listed, the Chaplain will need to himself available during his shift to give residents support and guidance.
  • Additional responsibilities will be assigned by the Colony Director as required from shift to shift.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Educationally, the man filling this position must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in counseling, pastoral ministries, social work, addiction, or other related field, or the equivalent in experience with Biblical addiction recovery.
  • Experientially, the Chaplain must have a minimum of 3 years’ Biblical counseling experience or the equivalent and be willing to participate in training as assigned.
  • In addition, the Chaplain must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the addiction recovery field, most appropriately Biblical/Christian addiction recovery.
  • It is imperative that this individual has competent computer skills necessary to maintain the intake database and preparation of program statistics.

 

One full-time position is available, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. This position will require evenings and weekends, as well as needing flexibility to fill other shifts as needed.
