ABOUT AMERICA’S KESWICK: America’s Keswick is a ministry where biblical teaching is used to cultivate a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through Addiction Recovery, Conferences, Retreats, Events, and Outreach.

The purpose of America’s Keswick is to model and teach biblical victorious living in Christ Jesus, to provide an environment in which biblical life transformation takes place, and to foster active personal involvement in the local church.

 

DEPARTMENT PURPOSE: The Addiction Recovery Ministry of America’s Keswick is a spiritual and biblically based recovery ministry for those in bondage to addiction and life-dominating sins.

 

POSITION PURPOSE: The Director of Addiction Recovery for Women provides vision, development, and direction of Barbara’s Place, our women’s addiction program at America’s Keswick. This also includes oversight of Women of Character and ENRICH.

 

REPORTS RELATIONSHIPS: 

  • Reports to the President & CEO, who assists in outlining policies, sets objectives, advises on procedures, and assigns goals and duties.
  • Works with the Director of Addiction Recovery for Men and the Director of Mercy Shore Counseling and oversees our ENRICH Coordinator.
  • The ENRICH Coordinator reports to the Director of Addiction Recovery for Men.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides oversight to the daily operation of Barbara’s Place.
  • Executes policy, goals, and procedures for Barbara’s Place as directed by the President & CEO.
  • Prepares the monthly Barbara’s Place staff and program schedule.
  • Oversees the Barbara’s Place schedule of activities, functions, and church services.
  • Oversees the Barbara’s Place curriculum in partnership with the President & CEO and board of trustees and its adherence to the Victorious Christian Life message and our Philosophy of Counseling and Discipleship.
  • Helps produce video, audio, and written content for addiction recovery resources.
  • Coordinates and participates in the counseling and teaching ministry of Barbara’s Place.
  • Provides oversight and mentoring of the Barbara’s Place staff in job responsibilities.
  • Conducts routine one-on-ones with each Soul Care worker to evaluate wins and growths.
  • Provides oversight and direction of the intake program for Barbara’s Place.
  • Provides biblical counseling to women assigned to her.
  • Participates and helps facilitate the ministry of Families for Christ.
  • Oversees our Aftercare program for Barbara’s Place.
  • In partnership with our ENRICH coordinator, oversee all weekly support groups for women in addiction in the program and community.
  • Provides quarterly board reports and presents them to the board of trustees.
  • Attends the weekly administrative meeting.
  • Attends the weekly Manager’s and Addiction Recovery Team Meetings.
  • Plans and oversees all ongoing training and education of Barbara’s Place staff.
  • Assists in promoting the ministry through speaking engagements with groups and churches.
  • Help communicate Barbara’s Place’s mission, vision, and values during Staff Enrichment, conferences, and events.
  • Takes on other responsibilities as agreed upon by the President & CEO.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in biblical counseling, addiction studies, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Biblical counseling.
  • A proven track record in leading teams and setting culture.
  • A strong understanding of building safe and healthy environments for those struggling with addiction and trauma.
  • A high EQ with a heart for those struggling with addiction.
  • The ability to teach scripture in an easy-to-understand way.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build consensus and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with project management methodologies.

 

HOURS: This full-time position requires 40 hours per week (hours may surpass 40, and shifts may exceed 8 hours). A work week may include evenings, weekends, and overnight travel as the President & CEO assigns.

 

ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS: The one holding this position must be a mature Christian, able to lead and demonstrate Christlikeness effectively. This person must always conduct herself in such a manner as to uphold a solid testimony in harmony with traditional, conservative, evangelical values. She must completely adhere to the doctrinal position of America’s Keswick and seek to live the principles of God’s Word.
