Who is Tracking you?

Have you ever noticed that after looking at something on Amazon, almost immediately you start to receive advertisements for that and similar items?  It is not just Amazon.  Other companies notice what we are looking at and do the same thing.  The computer is tracking us to sell us something.  We need to have self-control and not allow ourselves to be swayed to buy those items.

My family uses Life 360.  This tracks where each family member is located.  It can be used to see if a family member reaches their destination on time.  It can be used to see if someone is on their way home and how far away they are.  This is great when you are making dinner and are wondering if everyone will be home on time.  It helps us know when to prepare the last-minute types of food.

There is someone else who continually tracks us, but not for our good. The Bible warns us that Satan is walking around like a lion, tracking us to accuse and devour us (1 Peter 5:8).  We are told to resist him and be firm in our faith (1 Peter 5:9a).

But God tracks us because He loves us.  One of the most beautiful Psalms is chapter 139.

139 Lord, you have examined me and you know me.
You know everything I do;
from far away you understand all my thoughts.
You see me, whether I am working or resting;
you know all my actions.
Even before I speak,
you already know what I will say.
You are all around me on every side;
you protect me with your power.
Your knowledge of me is too deep;
it is beyond my understanding.

This will be scary for someone not living a life that pleases God.  But, for someone who loves God and is living an obedient life, this is a comforting thought.  He knows everything about us.  He is protecting us with His power.  Wow!  Thank you, Lord for keeping track of me.
