Redeem the Time

Posted on July 2, 2021 by Catey Stover in Victory Call

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:15-16)

There are 1440 minutes in this 24 hour period.

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend thinking about ourselves?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend thinking about money and bills?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend thinking negative thoughts?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend thinking about things we want but do not have?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend worrying?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend gossiping?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend grumbling and complaining?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend serving others?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend loving others?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend being kind to others?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend being a doer of the word and not a hearer only?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend obeying God?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend walking by faith and not by sight?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend believing God and taking Him at His word?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend resting in the care of God?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend living in Jesus Christ rather than in the world?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend living in resurrection power?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend meditating on the Word of God?

How many of those 1440 minutes will we spend worshiping Jesus Christ?

At the end of the day will we have spent more time living for Jesus Christ or for self?

Think About This: “Where does your security lie? Is God your refuge, your hiding place, your stronghold, your shepherd, your counselor, your friend, your redeemer, your saviour, your guide? If He is, you don’t need to search any further for security.”― Elisabeth Elliot
