Praying and Decreeing the Word

Recently we celebrated Purim on the Hebrew calendar.  In light of the feast, we heard a message on the book of Esther at church.  I have studied and even taught from the book of Esther.  It is one of my favorite books.
Have you noticed that every time you study a book of the Bible you find a “new” Truth, a great blessing, and you wonder why you did not see it in the past.  Well that is what happened to me.
Esther 8:8 says, You yourselves write a decree concerning the Jews, as you please, in the king’s name, and seal it with the king’s signet ring; for whatever is written in the king’s name and sealed with the king’s signet ring no one can revoke.
I saw that verse in a whole new way.  In my mind it went like this, “You, Pat, write a decree concerning those things on your heart, in the name of Jesus, seal it in the blood of my Son; for whatever is written in the Kings of kings name and sealed in His blood cannot be revoked.  WOW!!
We left church and went to our son and daughter-in-law’s home.  When we arrived, two of our three precious grandbabies were VERY sick.  Caleb had been the hospital twice already for respiratory distress and he was in distress again.  Our Cate had a high fever was rather listless, not willing to even drink but just sat in the arms of her grandpa.  Our third grandchild, Charlotte, was the only one who was healthy, with the exception of a nasty cough that sounded horrible.  How did this happen?  I had seen them on Wednesday and they looked good and were recovering from a nasty cold.  How did this infirmity find an open door to attack so fast and furiously?
Fortunately, my precious daughter-in-law is from a Christian family.  Her Mom and I went to (war) prayer.  I shared with her what had been pointed out to me at church.  That night we wrote words from the scripture down and texted them to each other.  We then decreed those words with our mouth and sealed them in the blood of Jesus.
Fast forward…by the next day all three children were doing better.  No one went to the hospital, Caleb was breathing and was no longer in stress, and fevers were gone.  Charlotte went to school.  Within two days the only thing left was a mild cough in all three children.  I was overwhelmed with thanksgiving and awe how God prepared us just how to pray in order to break infirmity and release the blessings of health on our grandchildren.  Blessed be His name.  He desires to release good gifts to His children who are called by His name.  (Matt.7:11; Luke 11:13)
Ladies, the Word of God is TRUE.  Keep reading, keep seeking Holy Spirit for understanding and keep applying it to your life.  It never returns void!! (Is. 55:11)
Blessings,
Pat
