Miracle

Day 3 “Miracle” Devotion!
As we celebrate this third day of Hanukkah, I wanted to share today’s “Miracle” devotion.  Faith is preceded by awe. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom” (Ps. 111:10). We must learn to see the miracles that are daily with us. We need to open our eyes to where we are going (Prov. 14:15). We must learn how to let His will prevail. Our faith is not just our concern—it is also His concern. The warring of your will against faith can be very strong. Until the will is yielded, you cannot secure your desire. Only in His light do we see light. We do not seek God only for information; we seek God so we can respond to Him.

God is not important unless He is the supreme importance in our life. Faith is not the same as belief. Faith is sensitivity, understanding, engagement, and attachment. We can gain this or lose this; remember the generation that left Egypt (Ps. 78:14–32; Isa. 63:17). Faith includes faithfulness, strength of waiting, the acceptance of His concealment, and the defiance of history (Isa. 26:13). Faith moves mountains and can change nations if we allow that grain within us to grow.  As we celebrate the LIGHT increasing day by day, may your faith grow brighter and brighter each day!

Day 4 “Miracle” Devotion!
Shatece McLeod shared the latest of our Hanukkah week devotions. As you read this, declare that your joy will abound!

Joy is an extension of miracles. This “now” season is pregnant with joy despite the chaos that is all around us. The birth of Jesus was during a time of chaotic pandemonium, yet the birth of this miracle baby brought ecstatic joy to the earth. We continue to celebrate the miracle of Jesus’ breaking through into the earth and releasing a joy that cannot be contained.

The connection of miracles and joy in undeniable. When someone receives a miraculous healing, our first response is usually joy. It is exciting to both witness and experience a healing which the enemy was trying his best to convince you that would never happen, BUT GOD! Yes, joy quickly overtakes you. What about that marriage, friendship, or relationship that appeared to be going nowhere? Suddenly, the Lord breaks on the scene because you miraculously had a change of heart, uh, huh. Doesn’t that fill you with joy? Of course it does, I can go on and on listing different scenarios that are miraculous situations.

However, I do want to stress the latter. We can become miracles by simply a change of heart. A change of heart leads to a change of perspective. When you see differently you move differently bringing about the needed results that ultimately produce joy. The Lord wants us to be His miracles this season in order to produce His results and unleashing His joy. Miracles are elements of celebration and celebration spurs joy!

Let’s be that miracle gift by doing a “miracle shift.” MERRY MIRACLES!

Think About This: “I never have any difficulty believing in miracles, since I experienced the miracle of a change in my own heart.” – Augustine

This Week’s Verse to Memorize: For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. – 2 Corinthians 4:6
