Throne of Grace

Why is it that we wait so long to ask for help?

Is it because we are not confident that there is help… or even someone who cares enough to risk helping us? There is a powerful promise and invitation given by our God for His children “to come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”

(Hebrews 4:16) Do you see the assurance given? ‘You will receive mercy’; ‘you will find grace!’

Prayer is the conduit to receiving His perfectly timed provision of grace that comes from the Throne of the God of creation, who set the world in place, who establishes kingdoms, and who knows every hair on your head.

This is no empty promise. It is established on the saving work of Jesus Christ, who conquered sin and death at the cross, and who is ascended to the right hand of this Throne of Grace. “So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.” (Hebrews 4:14-15)

Don’t wait, grace and mercy are freely available to all who come to Him in faith; and this because of the lovingkindness of our God who sits in the Throne of Grace. He desires to fill you up as a cup overflowing… if you would only let Him… You can be confident in this; there is someone who has already risked everything for you, so don’t give up, and don’t give in, there is hope and His name is Jesus.

Choose wisely….

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.” (Philippians 4:19-20)

Think About This: “It is the single most stunning reality in the life of a believer. God has placed his love on us and he will never again remove it. There’s a reason to continue, no matter how hard life seems and how weak you feel.” ― Paul David Tripp
