I’m with Him

“That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” — 2nd Timothy 3:17

Thanks for taking the time to read this, but are you ready? Have you geared yourself for what this day may bring? Maybe we can never be as ready or prepared for everything a day brings, but we can focus on the One that is able to pick up the slack.

When it comes to facing your world there can be many unavoidable obstacles. But, is there a way to overcome the things that have been derailing you or have simply become exhausting? “I’m with Him” is the attitude of being ready for what life throws at you. When we have a constant diet of God’s word and are engaged with the Lord in fervent prayer, there is a boldness we can have knowing God goes before us and He is with us. There seems to be a disconnect when we don’t have our eyes fixed on Jesus. The isolation and relying on our own understanding can leave us defenseless. These are the times we usually make bad decisions or become prone to emotional breakdown.

Just like if we were with a distinguished person trying to enter a privileged event, we can simply pronounce, “I’m with Him” and it usually gets us in the door. Being careful not to have a confidence in ourselves, because our confidence is in the Lord, we can proclaim our defense against the things that come up against us. That conflict at work or an unexpected flat tire can seem to be a deal breaker. But when we are reminded that nothing comes into our lives without God’s permission, there’s a sense of peace that can take over.

Being prepared for what lies ahead gives us an advantage to recognize the things God has in store for us. When we’re not preoccupied with the fears and anxieties that come when we’re overburdened or confused, we are more sensitive to God’s Spirit and promoting to do His will.

The best part about the, “I’m with Him” mentality is the comfort of knowing that the reality is “He’s with us”. The overwhelming confidence of “Christ in you, the hope of glory” is enough to help us out the door and to engage in a world that, although we might not be ready for, we certainly know who is. Hey, “I’m with Him” …Amen!
