I Got It!

Thinking I was being good with all the covid stuff going on around us, it came as a big shock when I came down with it. I got my vaccination, tested twice and both came back negative. Now I’m in a self-imposed quarantine for 7-10 days. Talk about throwing the proverbial wrench into the mix. Then again, I’m also blessed that it didn’t happen a few weeks earlier. Right in the middle of the summer sessions at Keswick could have really gone sour very quickly. But this little break in the action of my daily life has given me more time to spend with the Lord and hearing how He wants me to handle this situation. Psalm 55:26 “Cast your burdens on the Lord, and he will sustain you, he will never allow the righteous to be shaken” It has become a blessing in disguise. Cleaning the house, getting rid of years’ worth of junk that has accumulated over years, fixing a few things (I could have used Rob Russomano on that one), laundry, writing a few blogs, and getting my sermon ready to speak at the colony next month.

Even when things may seem to be going in the wrong direction, know that God has always GOT IT. I know now it was God’s hand in giving me this time to slow down and be with Him more and do things that I’ve put off for months, if not years. I have prayed boldly and confidently that this will pass and the lessons learned will get me through this. Psalm 40:5 “Lord my God, you have done many things, Your wondrous works and your plans for us;” So when a roadblock comes before you, look at as an opportunity to take a new road that may be filled with something new and wonderful.
