“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” – 2 Peter 3:9
While at a meeting in regards to random issues in the Ocean County area, I was confronted with a reality that was discomfiting. They were processing through all the broken families that were involved in the recent raids and potential deporting. Children were scared, families were being separated, and some the families were confused about the requirements to become citizens. In addition, I heard all the opinions on why illegal immigration is a problem. ‘They should have never come here.’
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” – Romans 3:23
God is not like us, picking and choosing what sins to elevate and which ones to accept. He calls it all sin, and yet pursues us relentlessly. We know that illegally entering a country is sin, however, verbal abuse is sin, gossip is sin, lack of love is sin, unrighteous judging is sin, cheating on your taxes is sin, and yet God’s great love towards us, while in our sin He died for us to have a new home with Him.
God is patiently waiting on all, whom he already knows, will come to repentance. Our call is to reflect patients and be proactive in forgiving our neighbor. I’m not a politician but I know that there are areas that God gives each of us to consider others and make a difference. God bless.

Daily Quote: “It’s Satan’s delight to tell me that once he’s got me, he will keep me. But at that moment I can go back to God. And I know that if I confess my sins, God is faithful and just to forgive me.” – Alan Redpath

This Week’s Verse to Memorize:
When the righteous rejoice, there is great glory; But when the wicked arise, men hide themselves. Proverbs 28:12
