Get over it!!

Philippians 4:11–12 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

Tell me you haven’t seen the “Karen’s” of the world out there and their out-of-control behavior because they think they deserve everything and anything the world has to offer. Don’t get me wrong, Men can be just as bad so I’ll call them “KENS”. When did the world think that deserve everything handed to them on a silver platter? We have become a society so focused on the new and best thing, we don’t realize that we are giving in to the consumerism that has put our country 1.04 trillion, THAT’S TRILLION, in credit card debt. The average household has $8,300 in debt. Why? Because we are never content with what we have. It has to be newer, better, bigger, and BIGGER! And when the bottom falls out from underneath them and bankruptcy comes about, Who Pays?? You and me!!

Sure, it’s nice to have new things. We just got a new chair and couch, but we put money aside for it and are blessed to have it paid off in full. Getting into debt is a disease that is taking down our country. Over the past 18 months, our country has handed out trillions of dollars with no explanation of how it is going to be paid off. Looks like our great-grandchildren may be on the hook for this.

 

Proverbs 17:16 “Of what use is money in the hand of a fool, since he has no desire to get wisdom” Be wise, save wisely, spend wisely!!
