Choose Wisely My Son.

Having just finished one of the best bible studies I have been blessed to attend, the last two sessions dealt with Proverbs chapters 1-9.

For those that know, and love it, Solomon is speaking to and about our sons and all the relevant aspects of life.

It hit home and it is more important today than ever before. What and how are we teaching the young men of today.

The interactions that we have with our children and grandchildren can, and will, have an everlasting Impact on many of the things that may encounter over their lifetime. And this isn’t just about our sons, but our daughters too!

Men need to step up more than ever before.

Absentee fathers, broken homes, divorce, addictions are tearing the family unit to shreds and its just going to get worse.

We worry about our grandchildren and what their lives are going to be like with their parents being divorced and the kids going back and forth to different homes. We are praying this summer when they visit us at Schroon Lake, we will be able to take them to church for Sunday school and plant that seed.

“My son if you accept my words and store up my commands within you listening closely to wisdom and directing your heart to understanding.” (Proverbs 2:1-2)

We have all made choices in our lives that have impacted us in one way or another.

What will we do with that knowledge to help the next, and the next generations to seek out Gods calling for their lives.

Most children think they got it all figured out before they even graduate high school!

Start early, impact wisdom at an early age and never stop teaching.

Children need parents and grandparents to give them the life lessons that schools will never show them.

“I possess good advice and sound wisdom, I have understanding and strength.” (Proverbs 8:14)

Lets pass it on!!
