Addiction Recovery Ministries at America’s KESWICK is a multifaceted, cutting-edge Christian ministry that serves men, women and children impacted by the ravages of addiction and other life-dominating behaviors. The Colony of Mercy is a 120-day, men’s residential program serving men 18 years of age and over. The Women of Character program is designed to serve wives and fiancées of the men in the Colony. The children of the men in the Colony have the opportunity to participate in Colony Kids of Promise.
America’s KESWICK Addiction Recovery Ministries are multifaceted because we seek to assist the entire family along the path of recovery and freedom. It is cutting-edge because, for over 100 years, it has been firmly grounded in the Word of God (the sword of the Spirit) and the Person of Jesus Christ. It is through an individual’s personal interaction with God and His Word that we see the lives of men, women, and children dramatically transformed.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God… Ephesians 6:17
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
“They wandered in the wilderness in a desert region; They did not find a way to an inhabited city. They were hungry and thirsty; Their soul fainted within them. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He delivered them out of their distresses. He led them also by a straight way, To go to an inhabited city.” (Ps 107: 4-7 NAS)
The Colony of Mercy is more than just a place. It is a fellowship of men who are serious about life change as a way out of bondage to addictive, compulsive behaviors (or life dominating behaviors.) We seek a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ as the source of hope and transformation in becoming the man that God desires us to become. We are a residential, minimum 120 day, Christ-centered facility.
